Book your private transfer to / from Bodrum Milas Airport with Airport Executive

Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) is the gateway to one of Turkey's most celebrated coastal destinations. Set on the Aegean, the Bodrum Peninsula is known for its whitewashed villages, turquoise bays and a culture that blends ancient history with some of the finest marina life in the Mediterranean. From the upmarket yachting hub of Yalikavak to the ancient wonder of Halicarnassus and the wide beaches of Gumbet, the peninsula offers something for every kind of traveller.

Airport Executive provides professional, chauffeur-driven transfers to and from Milas-Bodrum Airport, taking you directly from the arrivals hall to your hotel, villa or marina without the uncertainty of shared shuttles or local taxis. Our drivers monitor your flight and are waiting with a name board when you land, ready to take care of your luggage and get you on the road without delay.

With over 30 years of private transfer experience, we offer a range of vehicles from economy saloons to First Class luxury and executive MPVs for groups. Prices are fixed at booking with no hidden charges.

Why Choose Airport Executive for Your Bodrum Transfer

The Bodrum Peninsula's resorts and villages are spread across a wide area, and the distances can be surprising if you have not travelled to the region before. Yalikavak, Turgutreis and Gümuşlük all require a meaningful drive from the airport, and in peak summer traffic the roads can be slow. A private transfer with a professional driver who knows the peninsula's routes means you arrive at your destination relaxed, rather than navigating an unfamiliar road system after a long flight.

  • Flight tracking included as standard, so your driver adjusts for delays at no extra cost.
  • Meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board and luggage assistance.
  • Fixed prices confirmed at booking. No surge charges and no hidden extras.
  • Professional, licensed chauffeurs with over 30 years of transfer experience.
  • Transfers to every resort, marina and village across the Bodrum Peninsula.
  • Vehicles from economy saloons to First Class luxury and executive MPVs for families and groups.

Meeting Your Driver at Milas-Bodrum Airport

Arrivals

Milas-Bodrum Airport has two terminal buildings on the same site. The International Terminal handles flights from outside Turkey, and the Domestic Terminal handles flights within Turkey. Most passengers arriving from the United Kingdom will land at the International Terminal.

After landing, you will proceed through Turkish passport control, collect your luggage from the baggage claim hall and exit into the arrivals area. Your Airport Executive driver will be waiting here with a name board showing your name. Car rental desks are located on the lower level of the arrivals area if needed for onward reference. From landing to meeting your driver, allow approximately one hour in normal conditions.

Departures

Your driver will drop you at the terminal entrance for your departure. As with all Turkish airports, Milas-Bodrum operates a double security process: your bags pass through an initial X-ray check at the terminal entrance before you reach check-in, and you go through a second security screening with hand luggage after check-in and before the gates. Your driver will assist with luggage to the terminal entrance and see you through the first checkpoint before leaving you to continue to check-in.

Airport Extras at Milas-Bodrum

Lounges

Primeclass Lounge (International Terminal)

The Primeclass Lounge in the International Terminal is located on the mezzanine level, reached via escalator or lift after clearing passport control and the security checkpoint. Follow the signs from the departures area. The lounge offers a curated buffet selection, alcoholic and soft drinks, Wi-Fi, comfortable seating and a dedicated outdoor terrace with runway views. It is open from 07:00 to 23:00 during the main season.

The lounge is closed during the winter season, typically from November to March, in line with the airport's reduced schedule. Access is available to Priority Pass and DragonPass cardholders, subject to capacity. Walk-in day passes are available for approximately €67 per person, with pre-booked options available at a lower rate online. Maximum stay is three hours.

Primeclass Lounge (Domestic Terminal)

A second Primeclass Lounge is available in the Domestic Terminal on the ground floor, past the second security check on the left. It accepts Priority Pass and is suited to passengers on domestic Turkish flights. The facilities are more modest than the international lounge but offer a comfortable alternative to the main terminal seating.

Fast Track Security

Official CIP and VIP fast track services are available at Milas-Bodrum Airport during the main season from March through to late autumn. These services are bookable through authorised providers and typically include a dedicated airport greeter, priority handling through the entrance security check, assisted check-in and access to the Primeclass Lounge. Fast track is particularly worthwhile during July and August when the terminal can be very busy with summer arrivals. Pre-booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Luggage Storage

There is no dedicated luggage storage facility confirmed inside Milas-Bodrum Airport terminal. If you need to store bags before or after your flight, we recommend contacting your accommodation or checking with local storage providers in Bodrum town in advance of your arrival.

Dining

Milas-Bodrum Airport has a range of food and drink options in both terminals, with the main offering concentrated airside after security in the International Terminal.

Starbucks is available airside in both the International and Domestic terminals, offering coffees, cold drinks and light bites before your flight.

Burger King is available in the Domestic Terminal departure area for fast food before domestic connections.

Simit Sarayi is present in the International Terminal airside, offering freshly baked simit bread rings, pastries and hot drinks, making it one of the better options for a quick and genuinely Turkish pre-flight bite.

Additional cafés and snack outlets are available in the departure area of the International Terminal, with a selection of sandwiches, pastries and hot drinks for passengers with time to spare before their gate opens.

Shopping

Duty-free shopping at Milas-Bodrum Airport features a well-stocked selection of spirits, wine, perfume, cosmetics, tobacco and confectionery both airside on departure and on arrival in the international terminal. Turkish delight, pistachios, dried fruits and regional ceramics make for straightforward gifts to take home. A small selection of local souvenirs and Turkish handicrafts is also available for last-minute shopping.

Timing Tips for Milas-Bodrum Airport

Arrivals

For most international arrivals, plan for approximately one hour from landing to meeting your driver in the arrivals hall. This accounts for passport control, baggage claim and the walk through the terminal. During the peak summer season, particularly in July and August, passport control queues can extend this to 60 to 90 minutes.

UK passport holders do not currently require a visa to visit Turkey for tourism purposes, though a valid passport is required and you may be asked to show return travel details at the border. Entry requirements can change, so always verify the current guidance from the UK Foreign Office at gov.uk before you travel.

Departures

For international departures, arrive at the airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure. The double security process at Turkish airports, with an X-ray check at the terminal entrance followed by a second security screening after check-in, can both carry queues during busy periods, and failing to allow enough time for both is the most common cause of a rushed departure.

For domestic flights within Turkey, arriving two hours before departure is sufficient. Check-in and baggage drop typically closes one to one and a half hours before departure on international routes. In July and August, add an extra 30 minutes to your standard allowance.

Top Attractions Near Milas-Bodrum Airport

Bodrum Castle and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology
The Castle of St Peter, built by the Knights Hospitaller in the fifteenth century, dominates Bodrum harbour from its rocky promontory and houses one of the finest museums of underwater archaeology in the world. The museum's collection includes Bronze Age amphoras, ancient shipwrecks recovered from the Aegean seabed and the extraordinary glass wreck from Uluburun, dating to around 1300 BC. The castle walls and towers offer sweeping views across the twin bays of Bodrum, and the approach through the old town is one of the most atmospheric walks on the Turkish coast.

Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus was built in the fourth century BC as the tomb of Mausolus, the Persian-appointed ruler of Caria, and was so impressive that it gave the English language the word mausoleum. Though largely destroyed over centuries, the archaeological site in the heart of Bodrum town preserves the foundations and scattered carved friezes, and the on-site museum contextualises what remains of this extraordinary monument with reconstructions and original sculptures.

Bodrum Old Town, Bazaar and Windmills
The lanes of Bodrum's old town wind between whitewashed houses hung with bougainvillea, past small mosques, galleries and restaurants that spill out onto the street. The bazaar quarter is a genuine working market rather than a tourist construction, selling spices, jewellery, leather and textiles alongside the usual souvenirs. Perched on the ridge above the town, the row of eighteenth-century stone windmills is one of the most photographed views on the Aegean coast, particularly at sunset.

Yalikavak Palmarina
On the north-western tip of the peninsula, Yalikavak has become the most glamorous resort destination on the Aegean, centred on the Palmarina, one of the largest and most luxurious marinas in Turkey. The harbour front is lined with high-end restaurants and boutiques, superyachts occupy the berths year-round and the surrounding hills are studded with high-spec villas. It is the natural base for discerning travellers who want the Bodrum Peninsula's scenery without the crowds of the main town.

Blue Voyage Gulet Sailing
The Blue Voyage, or Mavi Yolculuk, is a sailing tradition born on the Turkish Aegean and nowhere is it better practised than from Bodrum. Traditional wooden gulet vessels cruise the bays, coves and islands of the coast over three days, a week or longer, anchoring in secluded spots unreachable by road. From Bodrum harbour, routes head west towards Knidos and the Datça Peninsula, or south into the waters shared with the Greek Dodecanese. It remains one of the most distinctive ways to experience the Turkish coast.

Gümuşlük Village
At the western extremity of the peninsula, the small fishing village of Gümuşlük occupies a protected bay around the sunken ruins of the ancient Carian city of Myndos, whose walls are visible beneath the clear water. The village has resisted the development that has changed much of the peninsula, retaining its wooden boats, waterfront fish restaurants and the unhurried atmosphere that defines traditional Aegean life. It is widely regarded as the most beautiful and authentic village on the peninsula.

The Bodrum Amphitheatre
Cut into the hillside above the old town, the ancient theatre of Bodrum dates to the second century BC and has been carefully restored to a functional state. It seats up to 13,000 people and hosts concerts and cultural events throughout the summer season. The view from the upper tiers across the rooftops of Bodrum to the castle and the Aegean beyond is one of the finest in the region, and the site is worth visiting for the panorama alone even outside event season.

Bitez and the Bodrum Peninsula Beaches
The peninsula's beaches range from the lively and well-serviced strip at Gumbet, popular with watersports enthusiasts, to the shallow, calm bay at Bitez, which is sheltered enough for paddleboarding and windsurfing and lined with the shade of olive and mandarin trees. Further west, the bays at Akyarlar and Karaincir offer cleaner water and a quieter atmosphere for those willing to drive the extra distance. The peninsula's beaches are among the finest on the Aegean and a key reason for the region's enduring popularity with British travellers.
