How to Prepare For an Early Morning Flight
Ridiculous early morning flights are the most dangerous ones because there is always a risk of sleeping late and missing the flight. Then there is also the probability of leaving behind important things because of the sleep induced state so early at dawn.
If you’ve no other choice then to take a flight at the crack of dawn, then at least prepare for it:
Check And Recheck Your Timings
If you would like to stretch your sleeping time until the very last second, then make sure to recheck your schedule. For better preparation, you’d need to check your arrival time at the airport, the check-in time and the time your flight will be taking off.
Say Yes To a Hotel
If this flight at the sunup is taking place in the city you are visiting, then opt for a hotel in very close proximity to the airport. This will save you hour(s) of travelling and if by any chance you end up getting late, you’d still be able to make it on time with only few minutes of transit. Some airports offer something even better, a hotel in the airport so you won’t need to worry at all even if you wake up just half an hour before your time.
Early to Bed, Early to Rise
One of the biggest mistakes commuters make is staying up the entire night of their flight. As a result, they end up sleeping late the next morning and have high risk of missing their flight.
Leave Nothing For The Morning
The best way to be least stressful and have nothing to do in the morning is to be organized and arrange for everything at night. Print out your boarding passes, check-in online if there is an option and pack your bags properly the day before.
Carry A Pillow
A pillow will not only help you catch up on your sleep once you have boarded the plane but the promise of sleep too will be enough to propel you out of bed.
Just stay organized and you’ll be able catch your flight no matter how ill-time it is.
